Life…

Cannot believe that we are already in 2019! So fast and the New Year has started with a big bang and I could not be happier.

In every area of my life there are great opportunities and wonderful surprises.   I am excited to see what this year holds for me personally and professionally.

Let’s start on the personal side, the home side.
All decoration this year were neatly put away by the second of January. Now, this is a miracle as we are stragglers and we love the feeling of Christmas so much that the past four years we had our Christmas dishes until February 13, the day before Valentine’s. However, not this year. We are ahead of the curve.

The reason we are a bit ahead of the curve is because we also have a huge event in our lives, a milestone. 75th Birthday party!!   No!! Not mine… I saw those puzzled faces on how can she look so good for 75… The father of my son, husband and friend.   We are giving him a nice gathering with friends and I have some surprises up my sleeve. No… I am not telling. He may or may not read this, but just in case, I do not want to spoil the surprise.   I will keep you posted.

Lots to prepare for 25 peoples, but once the menu is done, all will fall into place.

On the professional side.
Giangi’s Kitchen, my baby is turning 9 years old next month. It has been fun going down memory lane and revisiting some of my early years recipes and pictures. I must say, I am so glad my picture taking skills have improved.   Thankful that my readers loved my recipes. I have wonderful readers that have been following me since day one. How cool is that?   If you want to have fun and reminisce with me, check out my instagram or facebook pages.

What I am most proud of and thrilled is that one of my articles that I wrote on Giangi’s Kitchen, ” 2019 New Year’s Resolutions“. It was picked up by Yahoo Financial. Huge!!! Over 70+ millions readers. Yes!!   I am still walking on clouds. Not a bad way to start the year, right?

Lots of new ideas are in the works, one being my cook book. Somehow it got placed on the back burner and I am working on it. My goal is to have it published by year end.

A couple of trips are in the horizon and I can’t wait. I really love to travel but last year we decided to stay home. Trust me it was great but now the bug is back and I am mentally planning my vacations. If I had it my way I would be on the beach all summer… Thailand comes to mind, but then Spain is gorgeous too… and the food … yum!!

2018 was a great year for me and my family. And, 2019 is an even better year thus far. I am grateful for the opportunity that I have. I get to do what I love most, being a mom, able to cook new dishes for my family.   Writing and enjoying my friends. I am truly blessed and thankful for all the blessing that are bestowed and I get to experience every day.

Do I have lots of goals for this year? I want let life roll itself out.

xoxo
