Amazing Places to Visit this Year

|

When planning for our next trip, we are often confronted with the same question all over again: What makes a specific place worthy of visiting. Compiling a list of must-visit places all around the world can be challenging but if you know what you specifically want to see and experience in that particular place then you sure will not disappoint.

Here, I am daydreaming of my next vacations, and as some of you know us, we are a family that does not shy away from hopping on a plane and going to far and new places. There is such a beautiful world out there just for any of us to enjoy.

Years ago I made I promise myself that no matter what I will travel as much as possible with my family.   I am quite fortunate to have been able to do so. I have a huge list of places that I want and have had the opportunity to check off from my traveling want list. Places that I loved and visited are the Wall of China, the Taj Mahal, Great Pyramids of Giza to name a few.

Here’s a list of places that I am adding to my list of places to visit this year or when ever free to travel again:

Amazing Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, and Vietnam

Starting in Thailand, a country that I love, and moving over to Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam, ending in Malaysia. The culture, food, and raw landscape attract me there. I am fortunate to have visited Thailand numerous times, however, there is still so much to visit. For the little of Vietnam, I was able to see, it left me with an insatiable need to visit and discover more.

Machu Picchu in Peru

Visit the ancient Inca citadel ruins located in the Eastern Cordillera of southern Peru. I am visualizing myself standing at the top of Machu Picchu and taking it all in. As well as The Temple of the Moon.

Cape Town, South Africa

This is considered to be one of the best destinations due to its amazing ocean views and botanical gardens. Adventure seekers, multigenerational families, and leisure travelers will surely enjoy Cape Town. If you’re going to visit this place anytime soon, don’t forget to go to Table Mountain and Kirstenbosch Botanical Garden among others.

Tokyo, Japan

Tokyo is home to a lot of ancient temples, museums, and gardens to contemporary electronic and pop culture. If you’re a foodie, this beautiful place is also where restaurants with Michelin stars are located. And yes, more than Paris has. It houses more than a hundred thousand restaurants where you can enjoy authentic ramen, tempura, shabu-shabu, and yakitori. Indeed, this is can be called a foodie’s heaven.

Marrakech, Morocco

If you are looking for a unique cultural experience, this place is a must-visit. Travelers looking for adventures can enjoy camel rides and get to see fire eaters and belly dancers while having a candlelit dinner in the desert. If you’re going here, don’t forget to visit the Majorelle gardens and schedule a personal visit to the home of Yves Saint Laurent.

Palermo, Sicily, Italy

When you visit the island of Sicily, you will see different kinds of limestone and architecture façades. This place is also home to several incredible places in the world, such as the Valley of the Temple. This place is ideal for couples and families to visit. If you’re planning to visit this beautiful island in Italy this year, make sure not to miss out on going to Mount Etna. It is Europe’s most active and largest volcano. Taormina, a breathtaking place where the sand meets the rocks with clear blue water.

Dubrovnik, Croatia

This is another must-visit city. Dubrovnik, Croatia is known for its shining splendor on the Dalmatian shoreline. Dubrovnik is a place that appeals to culture enthusiasts, history buffs, and yes, Game of Thrones fanatics. Its medieval walls are perfect spots for sunset viewing.

Vira Vira, Chile

This is a place perfect for couples and families. The best thing to do here is to hike on the top of the volcano Villarrica or go snowshoeing or skiing in the woods. In the afternoon, you may visit its national forests and waterfalls. You may also do some white water rafting here.  Ideal for an adventure seeker!

Kenya and Tanzania Safari

A long-time dream of mine. Spend time in Africa and travel. Starting my day with a hot-air-balloon safari at sunrise and end the day safari through the golden grasslands in the Serengeti National Park. Lake Nakuru National Park. And of course the Ngorongoro Crater one of the largest non-floated caldera in the world.

Stonehenge in Willshire, England.

Always intrigued by it and found it absolutely mysterious since a was quite young. And if planned well, under the full moon.

You see, the abovementioned amazing places are only some of the places to visit. We are free to explore the world, after all, you only live once. Life is too short and any chance or opportunity should not be missed.

What is on your travel list?

xoxo
