Beautiful Inside and Out – Beauty is Innate

Some people say that it radiates from within. We were reflecting the goodness in every person’s soul. What’s within comes wrapped up in the package of a human body.  This body is that which is visible to most people. Hence, we owe it to ourselves to take care of our bodies, to ensure that the beauty from within is given the best platform for radiating outwards.

The first step to any beauty routine is having a good sense of self-awareness and what you need. Many considerations depend heavily on a person’s specific body chemistry: moisture levels, sensitivity to various products, and many other concerns.

Rules that are not negotiable

Regardless, there are a few simple rules that are non-negotiable: keep your skin, hair, and teeth clean; use moisturizer and sunscreen, and blind the world with a wide smile.

A good moisturizer, cleanser, and sunscreen are always considered acceptable practices. However, you will need to know how prone your skin is to dryness or oiliness to select just the right products.

Likewise, washing and conditioning your hair are critical components of any beauty routine, but decide what you use and how frequently, depending on oily and sensitive your scalp is.

Beautiful skin is only 25% genetic

There is a perception that one needs to have been blessed in the genetic lottery to be beautiful, but this is untrue.

It does help, and some people have naturally great skin and hair, but, more and more, some products and services help even things out for those who feel they need help.

Practically anything from keeping skin supple and moisturized to making pesky pimples go away to smoothing out one’s complexion is possible these days.

An important caveat, though, can be found in the adage that an ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of a cure.

There’s only so much you can do to erase wrinkles or pockmarks from pricking pimples. Start caring today and take a few simple steps to make sure you design and execute your beauty routine correctly.

Observe the golden rule.

Be sure to remove your makeup before going to bed. This will allow your skin to breathe as it rests overnight. Makeup prevents that. It clogs the pores, causing blackheads and blemishes. If you don’t have makeup remover, you can use olive oil and cotton for the purpose.

Don’t forget to exfoliate. Exfoliating your skin once a week will help remove the dead skin layers. This will result in a healthier, glowing, and brighter skin.

The thing is, there’s just so much out there about beauty, from your family, friends, the internet. All the information can be overwhelming: how do you wade through old wives’ tales and plain fake news to pick out the gems that work? A doctor is an excellent place to start, but real people’s stories are also veritable wellsprings of wisdom.

Many individuals have had great successes with simple drugstore products, and others swear by the hundred-dollar creams from the luxe department store.

The bottom line is doing your research first; experiment a bit based on what you know about yourself; pay attention to what works and doesn’t work for you, and go from there!

What you eat matters

Take note of everything you eat. Include fresh veggies, fruits, and enough protein and vitamins. A vitamin C diet low in sugar and fats promotes glowing skin. Couple these with a healthy diet,  and water, as well as moderate amounts of sugar and salt, and you’re well on your way to that beautiful glow, both from the inside and outside.
